ABOUT
Manuel Macia, also known as “Donbi” was first introduced to the music business as a Spanish urban artist. Born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, he holds a bachelor’s degree in Radio and TV Production along with Business Administration.
At the age of 23, Macia relocated to Miami FL where he started his acting career on a show called “De todo un poco”. With aspirations to become a multi-platform performing artist, he continued to pursue his singing career. Macia then wrote a song that would hit the radio waves all over Miami called “Espaldota”. The song would later be featured in a movie called “Feel the noise” which was produced by Jennifer Lopez. The success of the song led to him sign a deal with Sony on a joint venture, from there he would be a part of a big revolutionary social media experiment show called” “La Mina TV”. Macia credits his time on the show to learning everything from social media to directing and all the points in-between. Under the guidance of established music producer/ director Eric Foster White, Macia was one of the main writers on the show until it got canceled seven years later. The cancellation led Macia to start his own venture of creating music videos for other artists. His resume ranges from working with the likes of, Natalia Lafourcade, Cafe Tacuba, Jorge Drexler, Rudy Mancuso, Mau y Ricky, Jamby el Favo, Sin Bandera, Nat Campos and a host of others. His current project, Donbi Tv has made Macia a household name all around Miami as one of the top content creators and directors among his colleagues.
He has recently expanded his horizons to the digital marketing world as he became the Production Director for one of the biggest Digital Marketing companies, Executive Digital. With adding Donbi Tv to his list of many accomplishments, Macia has only scratched the surface for what he wants to accomplish in his career.
